JOYCE
ROWBOTHAM
A soprano from Lakewood, received her Bachelor of School Music degree from
the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music. She was a fellowship student
and faculty member of Westminster Choir College and member of the Westminster
Choir. Miss Rowbotham directed school choir groups in Akron and at the
present is supervisor of vocal music for the Bay Village Schools as well
as a private instructor in voice. She is studying voice with Marie Simmelink
Kraft at the Cleveland Institute of Music and was formerly a student of
Mabel E. Todd, Akron, Ohio; Dr. John Finlay Williamson and Lorene Hodap,
Princeton, New Jersey; and George Pickering, New York City. This summer
she was a member of the Fred Waring Workshop of specialized vocal techniques
for radio and television. She is an active member of the Three Arts Club
of Lakewood and of the Cleveland Alumnae Chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon.
