Lunch Program
A Federal Lunch Program is available beginning the first week of September.
Free and reduced lunches are provided based on family income. Contact
the school office for information and forms.
Parents support this program by supervising the lunch room. We require
that the students adhere to the Code of Conduct rules.
Students in grades K-5 have a daily snack time, usually prior to morning
recess. Parent/guardians are encouraged to send a healthy snack such
as a piece of fruit.
Homework Lab
SS Cyril & Methodius School Homework Lab is our attempt to address
the need for students to obtain more personal assistance with their homework.
This is a wonderful opportunity to get more “one on one” tutoring
for your child. This program has proved very successful. Students show
clear improvement in their grades and they are cared for in the school
by a certified teacher.
Homework
Lab hours are from 2:30 – 4:30
Fees:
$3.50 an hour
$6.00 a day
$25.00 a week
Parents need to pay in advance or on the day of the service. On early
dismissal days, hourly rate applies. Students must be picked up by parent/guardian
by 4:30 P.M. or have prior permission to walk home alone. Students who
are NOT picked up by 4:30 P.M. will be charged $5.00 for every 15 minutes
that the parent/guardian is late, not exceeding a maximum of $20.00.
Transportation
Free and reduced RTA tickets or parental reimbursement are available
from the resident school district. Forms are provided during the first
week of school in the parent folder or from the school office.
Guidance
Programs
SS Cyril & Methodius School is a regular participant in the DARE
program of the Lakewood Police Department. This and additional drug awareness
and peer programs are valuable additions to our curriculum. Parents are
asked to support these programs
Special

and receptive language patterns, and provide a modified speech and
hearing program for students with auditory deficiencies. Classes
are twice weekly.
Remedial Instruction – This includes individual and
small group instruction in reading and math is performed
by a certified
teacher
from the Module Instruction Unit and funded through State of Ohio
funds. Classers are daily.
Psychological Services – Counseling and psychological
services are provided for the purpose of testing and assessing
student needs.
Counseling sessions are also provided. Referrals may be made by the
Principal, teacher, or parents. Permission from the parent is required
before services are rendered. Meetings are twice weekly.
