MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of the Lakewood Recreation Swim Team Boosters is to advocate, encourage and support participation, achievement, programs and facilities that will make competitive swimming a superior experience for all the members of the Lakewood Recreation Swim Team.

The LRST fees are broken down into several categories, depending on three variables: resident status, participation on a high school swim team, and annual payment vs. installment (seasonal) payment.

Complete payment for the 2006-2007 seasons, or the first installment (seasonal) payment, is due prior to the first practice with the team. Subsequent installment payments must be made prior to the dates indicated above. Children will not be permitted to participate until registration fees have been paid. All payment options take into account the team’s breaks throughout the year. Therefore, participants do not pay for time when the team is not practicing. Fees will not prorated.

USA Swimming Registration

All swimmers are required to become a member of USA Swimming, the official governing body of competitive swimming in the United States.  The fee for 2006-2007 seasons is $45.00.  This payment is due prior to the first practice with the team.  Payment of USA swimming dues must be made in person at the Recreation Department Office, with USA registration form (available from Coach Kevin) and a copy of the swimmer’s birth certificate (unless registration is a renewal).  For information on seasonal USA membership, contact Mike Callahan, Aquatic Manager at (216) 529-4015.

Other

Swimmers are required to purchase a team suit, which will cost approximately $25.00 for boys, and $45.00 for girls.  Additionally, swimmers will have expenses such as meet entry fees and equipment costs (i.e. practice suits, goggles, swim caps, etc.)
