A century ago, Lake Shore Electric Railway Company and Cleveland, Southwestern & Columbus Railway were the two electric interurban lines serving Rockport Township. This program is co-sponsored by the historical societies of the four communities that are part of historic Rockport Township: Lakewood, Fairview Park,
Rocky River and West Park.

Don’t miss the Western Reserve Challenge—a vintage base ball double-header featuring the Akron Black Stockings and the Forest City Ball Club. Vintage Base Ball (yes, it was two words originally) is played by the rules and customs of an earlier period. Ballists don period uniforms and recreate the game “as it was meant to be played.” It’s a great afternoon of learning, popcorn and fun!
