Happy Fall, everyone! We have had a good start to another fun and busy year at Grant, and look forward to more fun as we continue throughout this school year.

Our next PTA meeting will be on Tuesday, October 13, at 9:15 a.m. in the Cafeteria. Everyone is welcome at our meetings, so even if you haven't yet signed up, please feel free to attend!
For anyone wishing to join the PTA this year, the cost is $5 per member. Members who had their forms in by September 30 were eligible for a raffle to win a $20.00 gift card from Giant Eagle. Membership forms/envelopes have been sent home with your child, but if you need another form, please contact Janet Trentel at 228-8325.
Our Great Western Fund-Raiser got off to a great start with the kickoff assembly last month. There are many wonderful items and options in this year's catalog, and we look forward to a high participation. Each year, Grant PTA is responsible for many of the activities and events that students look forward to, such as COSI, Fall and Spring Dances, holiday classroom parties, Winter Carnival, after-school events, etc. Your support and help is essential to our continued success in providing these types of activities to the students. The deadline for returns is October 2, 2009.

Halloween Classroom Parties – Friday, October 30 – 2:30 p.m.
If you would like to volunteer for any of our upcoming events, please know that we would love to see you and can always use more help. Volunteering your time is a great way to help your children know that school is important. It's also a great way to meet new friends. Please call us if you have any questions, or would like more information on volunteering.
