About the League of Women Voters
   Established in 1922, the League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization whose mission is to encourage the informed and active participation of citizens in government and to influence public policy through education and advocacy. Membership is open to all citizens, 18 years and older.

We need you on our side as we continue to be a Voice for Citizens and A Force for Change in the United States, promoting positive solutions to public policy issues through community education and advocacy, and building greater, broad-based citizen participation in the democratic process.

Remember -- even if you haven't the time for active participation, your membership alone will strengthen our voice.

When you join, you become a member of the League at four levels, the local League, the county League, the state League and the national League. Your membership dues include a subscription to The National Voter, the League's quarterly journal to keep you up-to-date and informed on the issues and activities in which the League is involved.
