- 1921 The Kiwanis club of Lakewood, Ohio chartered with 83 members
- 1924 Lakewood Kiwanis Lodge built in Metropolitan Park
- 1930 "Old Clothes Project" created to benefit less-fortunate citizens of Lakewood
- 1932 Cowbell competition begins with West Park
- 1933 First annual Kiwanis "Old Timers Day" takes place. No dues payments required for entire membership for second half of the year
- 1939 Lakewood Kiwanis builds an elaborate float to participate in Lakewood's "Semi-Centennial" parade
- 1942 Kiwanis members and wives take part in assisting the war effort
- 1946 Lakewood Kiwanis marks its 25th Anniversary. Luncheon given to honor ninety World War II veterans
- 1948 Pot Luck dinners begin and attract hundreds over the next decade
- 1949 State of Ohio incorporated The Kiwanis Club of Lakewood. Rummage Sale started
- 1951 30th Anniversary celebrated. Ten of original 83 members honored
- 1953 Improvements made to Kiwanis Lodge. Lakewood Kiwanis membership reaches 171
- 1954 First scholarship awarded to Nancy Toser, a Lakewood High School student. Fishing trips and boat tours popular that summer
- 1955 City of Lakewood joins Lakewood Kiwanis as NBC's "Horace Heidt Show" originates from the new Lakewood Civic Auditorium
- 1956 Lakewood Kiwanis awarded first place in Ohio District Gold Division Achievement Report
- 1958 A crowd of more than 200 attend as Ken Barkhauser is installed as president
- 1960 After belonging to 6th, 10th and 16th Divisions, Lakewood Kiwanis becomes part of the 14th Division
- 1961 Lakewood Kiwanis Scholarship Foundation chartered
- 1962 Kiwani-Anns organized
- 1963 Lakewood Y receives gift of $12,000 from Kiwanis. Scholarship "sales stamps" program discontinued
- 1964 Harry Young of Detroit, the oldest living Charter Member of Kiwanis International, special guest speaker at Lakewood Interclub
- 1965 Seven members of Lakewood Kiwanis attend Golden Anniversary of Kiwanis International in Detroit. Astronaut James McDivitt welcomed as guest speaker
- 1967 Weekly meetings moved to Lakewood YMCA
- 1968 Family Reunion Day begins in summer
- 1969 Administrative Year changes to begin October 1st. Lakewood Kiwanis teams with "The Group" to sponser annual variety show at Lakewood High
- 1970 Conference takes place on nationally-recognized "Operation Drug Alert." Kiwanis Lodge closes at the request of the Metropolitan Park Board
- 1971 Donation of Picnic Pavilion at Lakewood Park in honor of our 50th Anniversary. An overflow crowd of more than 450 jam City Hall for the anniversary banquet May 15th
- 1974 Legion of Honor pins awarded to J. Frank Gibson (50 years), Cap Clark (45 years), Coleman Gordon and Ed Sargent (40 years), and Virgil Wallace (35 years)
- 1975 55th Anniversary of Lakewood Kiwanis
- 1977 "Safeguard Against Crime" the focus of Major Emphasis Campaign
- 1978 Lakewood High School Key Club Chartered in March. 115 Kiwanians were present along with 15 charter members of Key Club
- 1980 Ed Sargent, with 44 years of perfect attendance, celebrated 99th birthday
- 1981 Lakewood Kiwanis celebrates 60th Anniversary. Kiwanis Ranger Relays begin
- 1983 Meeting place moved back to Masonic Temple
- 1985 Bill Daniels, last remaining of 83 charter members, passes away. "Kwantrac" donated to Lakewood High School
- 1987 First female member inducted into Lakewood Kiwanis Club
- 1988 New van given to Achievement Center for Children in November
- 1989 Over 300 hours of service provided in Tutoring Program at Harding Middle School. City of Lakewood celebrates 100th birthday
- 1990 Cleveland Electric Illuminating donates 50 new songbooks for meetings
- 1991 Pete McGrew honored for 40 years of Kiwanis service
- 1992 To celebrate "U.S.-Canada Goodwill Week," nine Lakewood Kiwanians join members of other area clubs for an interclub with Niagra Falls Kiwanis
- 1993 "Kiwanis Spotlight" debuts. "Punt, Throw & Kick Competition" begins in September
- 1994 Lakewood Kiwanis helps to raise more than $20,000 to allow Lakewood High School's award-winning "Road Show" to perform at International Convention in New Orleans
- 1995 Participation begins in IDD Campaign, the first worldwide service project of Kiwanis International
- 1996 the Kiwanis club of Lakewood marks its 75th Anniversary. Community Sign donated to city of Lakewood and Board of Education. Club membership stands at 180
